Montepulciano 2015 | CaliforniaOur Montepulciano has enjoyable aromas of red cherries, wild blueberries and sweet plums, with accents of vanilla and allspice, and a floral bouquet of lavender and violet. Crisp acidity on the palate, with a hint of toffee on the finish. This noble wine is a wine for meats, such as a ragu of wild boar, salumi, and girlled lamb. Wild mushrooms over polenta adorned with black truffles and olive oil would also fit the bill. Montepulciano is a grape from the Abruzzo Region of Italy.
